AftertheShadowsaredefeatedGaribaldileaveshispostassecuritychiefandworksonhisownasa"providerofinformation".HebeginsworkingforoneWilliamEdgars,aMarsTycoon,whoismarriedtoGaribaldi'sformerlove.WhileheworksevercloserwithEdgars,hebecomesincreasinglyaggressivetowardsSheridanandeventuallyleavesBabylon5.
MinbarisgrippedbyabriefcivilwarbetweentheWarriorandReligiouscastes.DelennsecretlymeetswithNeroonoftheWarriorcasteandconvinceshimthatneithersidecanbeallowedtowin.Shetellshimthatshewillundergoaritualwhereinshewillbewillingtosacrificeherself,butwillstoptheritualbeforesheactuallydies.WhenNeroonseesthatsheactuallyintendstogothroughtheentireritual,herescuesherandsacrificeshimselfinstead,declaringthat,althoughhewasbornWarrior,inhisheartheisReligious.
